Sarah Minson is the GM Customer Support and Development, at Stats NZ. Stats NZ is New Zealand’s official data agency.
Sarah has spent the last 12 years at Stats NZ, 9 years of which she was involved in most elements of the development and operation of NZ’s 5 yearly population census.
Prior to Stats NZ, Sarah worked for Spark NZ as the manager of a credit management data and analytics team.
Sarah currently has responsibility for the dissemination of all Stats NZs statistics, data and insights, and for Integrated Data – the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) and the business equivalent, the LBD. The IDI is a large NZ research database that holds linked microdata about people and households. Sarah and her team are working hard to ensure the significant asset that is Integrated Data is well managed in terms of keeping people’s data safe, but is also well utilised to enable more insight into areas that will improve the social and economic outcomes of New Zealanders.
