The Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government (BETA) is proud to be hosting BI Connect 2024, a free online behavioural insights conference to be held across three days in November 2024.

BI Connect 2023
In November 2023, BETA hosted its annual BI Connect online series. The series showcases behavioural insights research and its applications, with presenters from academia, government, and industry.
BI Connect 2022
In December 2022, BETA hosted its third annual BI Connect online series. The series included three sessions covering a range of topics such as dark patterns, greenwashing, sludge, complex consumer choices and bringing BI upstream in the policy cycle.
BI Connect 2021
In November 2021 BETA hosted the second annual BI Connect online series. The 2021 series built off the previous year’s topic and explored the role of behavioural insights in the COVID-19 pandemic. The series included three sessions exploring the topics of COVID-19 Behaviour, COVID-19 Misinformation and Building Back Better.
BI Connect 2020
In November 2020 BETA hosted the inaugural BI Connect 2020 online series with four exciting sessions exploring the application of behavioural insights to COVID-19. Following its success, BI Connect has become a regular series with expert speakers sharing their lessons learned on a wide-range of behavioural insights topics.
Form-a-Palooza 2019
BETA hosted Australia's first ever Form-a-Palooza on 28 June 2019. It was a one-day festival of forms, designed to share the latest in form design with public servants from across the Australian Government.
Behavioural Exchange 2018
In June 2018 BETA hosted the world's leading behavioural economics conference – Behavioural Exchange. We hosted 700 delegates and 71 experts over two days – and every session is now available to watch free of charge.
