Why did we develop the Behaviour Discovery Tool?
Many people come to the Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government (BETA) because they are stuck on a problem.
Often they are not quite sure what Behavioural Insights is, but wonder if BETA’s approach could help them find a solution.

Our methodology starts with a ‘Discovery’ phase to understand the problem and the behaviours and systems involved. The questions we ask and feedback we provide often generate light-bulb moments for the people we work with.
