BETA partnered with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to develop a guide to help NBN providers present information to consumers more clearly.

The guide supports ACMA’s new Consumer Information Standard regulation, which requires NBN providers to present prospective customers a ‘Key Facts Sheet’ that explains the different internet plans offered. This will help consumers choose the best NBN plan for their needs.

This guide challenges the assumption that people need more information to make better decisions, and suggests that less, clearer and more relevant information is the most effective way to communicate with consumers.
